Student Observation

As a future teacher, one requirement that my education classes make me do is Student Observe. This is when I go into the classroom (to a school that you choose or your professor has chosen for you) and observe the teachers in your field of study. So for instance whenever I went to a different school to observe, I would focus on and observe the math teachers! I have been to two schools so far and have learned quite a lot from observing. Student's potential of learning can differ from school to school but the one rule you cannot forget while teaching is that you must treat every student the same. There has been instances where some teachers favor a hand full of students and THAT IS NOT RIGHT! Just because a student's grades are not the best, does not mean that they are horrible people.

I love watching inspirational videos especially when it comes to a teacher connecting with his/her students. A teacher's true reward is seeing your students succeed when they had no hope in the beginning. The success of a student should be a responsibility of every teacher!

Attached is a preview to one of my favorite movies ever, "Freedom Writers." After watching this movie I truly wanted to become a teacher!
